Our dogs, Blue and Nutmeg

This was the first year that Blue has ever seen snow and we couldn't get him to come inside. He LOVED it!! It was fun to watch him run around and act crazy in the snow. Now if we just had a sled and harness, he could take us for a ride. Maybe next year. :)

Reese thought it would be fun to dress up Nutmeg. Nutmeg didn't mind a bit and she even sat still for pictures. I love that Reese put bow clips on her ears to make earrings.

Winter Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. I know I posted a bunch but it was just so hard to decide and there were so many to choose from. I'm so glad I chose to do Christmas pictures outside, even though we all were cold. I think they turned out great!

We were going to have our pictures taken ice skating but Reese was too cold and frozen and just couldn't take any more pictures.

misc...

I have been trying to upload a video for a few days now but for some reason it just won't work. So, I decided I would just post some cute misc pics from the last couple of weeks.

On July 4th, I was honored to witness the birth of James Mitchell King. He was born at 6:36 am and weighed a whopping 9lbs 12ozs and was 22 inches long. Thanks to Rachel and Dan for letting me share in their special moment with them. Love you guys!

Happy 4th of July!!

We recently discovered that Blue loves water. This was the day before school started and Reese decided that she wanted to go swimming with Blue, so they did. Reese went down the slide 4,387 times and blue would splash water everywhere by digging in the pool. Reese loved it!

We were all dressed up in our North Caroling gear to attend a double graduation party for Michael, who graduated high school and is going to University of Arkansas and Jen, who graduated from Mizzou with a Masters in Accountancy (and who also passed the first 3 parts of the CPA on her first try. She is taking the last part today - Good Luck, Jen!!). It was a theme party, College days come and gone. You could dress up or wear your favorite college colors. So it was obvious what we were all going to wear!

Jen having a great time at her party wearing her Mizzou toga which unraveled and fell apart the more she drank.

I love this picture for 2 reasons:
1. it shows how curly her hair is (although it is hard to really see it in front of the dark couch.)
2. it is one of the very, very few pictures where she is smiling. she just started this new smile and saying either "cheeeeessse" or "cheeeeseeeburger".

Reese's 1st day of Kindergarten

Reese started Kindergarten last Thursday. She was excited to go but had mixed emotions about riding the bus. She seemed a little nervous that morning but when we got to the bus stop she met a new friend, Lane. The bus never came that morning so I had to drive Reese to school.
Mom, Gi Gi, and Tatum also came along. Reese was happy that we all could go with her. She ended up having a great day!! Trevor, Gi Gi, Tatum and I were at the bus stop when she came home. She was sitting next to Lane on the bus and they sat by each other to and from school on Friday. I'm glad they became friends so fast - she no longer is afraid to ride bus and LOVES Kindergarten.

looks like she had a fun day - her hair is messed up and crazy

St. Louis Cardinals vs Seattle Mariners

Trevor's sisters and dad like the Seattle Mariners. It just so happened that when his sister was in town, so were the Mariners. Jessica and her kids had never been to a major league baseball game and neither had Reese so we thought they would all have a good time. What a game, a couple of home runs and fireworks (which the kids loved) and the Cardinals won the game!!!

mmmm... cotton candy. I think they lived off cotton candy that week. I know we bought pink, blue, more pink and purple. YUM!

Out of town visitors...

Trevor's sister, Jessica and her two kids (Camrynn and Holden) came to visit from Washington State. We haven't seen her for 5 years - Camrynn was 2 and Reese and Holden were 4 or 5 months old. One of the first things Trevor wanted to do was take them to the Arch and then we hung out Union Station and had a bite to eat at Hard Rock.

At Union Station

The kids had the most fun feeding the fish outside of Union Station. I think they could have stayed there all day!

Our newest Huwa..

Meet Blue, Trevor's Siberian Husky. He has wanted one of these dogs for almost as long as I've known him. We weren't planning on getting one so quickly but to make a long story short - we met him last night and brought him home. He's 12 weeks old -
Reese and Tatum like him and he gets along great with Nutmeg.

Tae Kwon Doe

Reese was invited to her friend, Dominic's martial arts outstanding student party. They played games and did a little Tae Kwon Doe. There was a ceremony after the play time. During the ceremony, all the kids that were invited punched a board and broke it in half. (I think that the instructors actually broke it when the kids punched it). Reese thought she was so cool that she punched the board and broke it!!

Happy Mother's Day!

What a great day! We had a relaxing morning just hanging out and then we went to my Aunt Margo's house and celebrated with my mom, dad, Tori, Margo's family, and my grandma and grandpa. We also celebrated my Grandpa's 80th birthday! The girls were both wiped out from playing with the kids. What a fun time!

I love being a mom to Reese and Tatum and I'm so grateful that I'm able to stay home and be with them everyday!!

Happy Mother's Day to all moms!!!
