Happy Birthday, Reese and Tatum!!

I'm way behind on my blogging but hope to be caught up soon. Here are a some pictures of the girls "Wizard of Oz" party. They had such a fun time!

Reese, The Ice Princess....

...is what she has been calling herself. She woke up the other day and said that she was an ice princess! Tonight was her first skating lessons. She had the best time even though all she was doing was falling and getting back up. While I was watching her fall and fall and fall and fall. I thought, I guess she is taking after me - athletic activities just aren't our thing.
Oh well, maybe Tator will be the athletic one, or not. :) After class, the instructor recommended that next time we try using the rental skates because Reese's new skates are very stiff and for the next few lessons the rentals might help her more. We went back home, I changed my clothes and Reese, dad and I went back up to the Rec-Plex to practice skating. Dad came for moral support for me since the last time I skated was my first time and was probably 8 or more years ago. Reese put on the rental skates and away she went. She did so great - WAY, WAY better than in class. We went around the whole entire rink 4 or 5 times. This time she only fell a few times!! She just loved it and wants to go back tomorrow. Maybe she REALLY did wake up an Ice Princess!

Oh yea, I guess she isn't going to take after me after all.

ps. I will have you all know that I skated with Reese around that rink and I didn't even fall once! Maybe I am an athlete and didn't even know it. Yea, I don't think so.

Reese and Ryan

Reese went over to Rachel's house and hung out today. She had a great time with playing with Ryan and carried her around everywhere. For a girl who doesn't eat that much, she's pretty strong to be carrying as Rachel put it, her "big boned child".

Happy St. Patrick's Day !

Today, Gigi and Tori went with the girls and I to see the Easter Bunny. I was going to dress them up but since it is St. Patty's Day I decided they should wear their St. Patty's Day shirts.

Gigi, Tori and I were very surprised what Reese said in the car on the way to the mall. She told us that the Easter bunny at the mall was not the real Easter bunny. She said she has a book about bunnies and it says that tall, giant bunnies do not exist. It's a person in a suit. The Easter bunny is a small bunny. Gigi then told her that the real Easter bunny can't be everywhere all the time so he has helper bunnies but that he is at the mall sometimes. Reese argued and said that the real Easter bunny is never at the mall. I asked her who told her this and she said "No one, it is just in my brain."

When we got to the mall, she was very excited to see the Easter bunny although she knew it was not the real one. When we got up close to him; she looked at me and said "See mom, he's not real. His mouth doesn't even move."

I still can't believe that Reese said this although it really shouldn't be that surprising or shocking with all of the stories that Reese tells and how she thinks she really does know everything. I'm glad that she still believes in the Easter bunny. My little Reesey piecey is growing up way too fast.

Tatum LOVED LOVED LOVED the bunny by the way. She got out of the stroller and went right up to him. She held his hand and said "Hi bunny, Hi bunny." She let the bunny pick her up and she was all smiles.

What a nice day for the ZOO!

Today we met Rachel, Ryan and Dixie (Rachel's mother in law) at the zoo. We originally were meeting there to see the penguin march but it was way too crowded. We walked around and checked out a bunch of other animals. They were all out enjoying the nice weather.

Poor Gunner

Last week, Gunner ran into a moving car and fractured his arm. So my dad brought him over so we could see his cast. Reese fed him a ton of treats and then signed his cast. When she found out Gunner was hurt, she kept saying "Poor Gunner, I feel bad for him."

Financial Freedom

Last week we started Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. It is a 13 week long class. We are excited to be on our way to becoming debt free and also to build wealth.

As Dave Ramsey would say "Live like no one else so later you can LIVE like no on else."
